Leo’s Truth

At 15 years old, Leonardo Decaprio packed his bags, left home to head to Hollywood. He got there with less than a hundred dollars in his pocket but a big dream to become the biggest, baddest actor of his generation. Straggles of a young actor, part time jobs, auditions, here, there. Nothing much to go on. A few gigs happened a movie or two, nothing worth mentioning. He did get the role of Romeo in ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Damn, did he make a good Romeo. (I watched that movie at 11 years old, and it made me cry). The beginning of a promising career.

One day, he was into a James Cameron set, and he perfectly fit the role that he was casting for. The face of Prince Charming, with the deminor of a homeless guy. At once, he became Jack, from the movie ‘Titanic’. He was good! (we all remember his dieing scene, because he could not get on a painting that they could both fit on). At this point it was undeniable that he was on his way to being one of the greats.

Ten years later, he had worked with the whose who of Hollywood, he’s personal favorite being Quentin Tarentino, the best director in Hollywood alive, hands down. By 2013, everyone was asking by Leo did not have an Oscar yet. Everything he touched turned to gold. They gave Sandra Bullock an Oscar for the proposal, but did not give Leo one for Django Unchained? It just did not make sense. Not one bit.

‘The Wolf of Wallstreet’. The uproar that came after that whole debacle, the Academy brought it on itself. How, why. Why!!! That movie is PG13, (okay PG18) but still, it was amazing! Beautifully written, well cast, and Leo just brought his character alive!!! The Academy however did not recognize this. When the Oscar for best actor was announced, and it was not Leo, the academy lost its credibility. There is no way in hell Leo lost that fairly. That night ended in disappointment.

The following year, Leo did another movie. He’s Leo, disappointment won’t shoot him down. Noone remembers that movie, but the academy could not denie it any more. There it was. He got his Oscar. Power in his grind!!!

Grind till you become undeniable.
